My first Gocco!

I just finished my first Gocco Project! They are mini prints that can also double as note cards. I did two color versions, red and green. They are priced at $5 and come packaged with an envelope.

Ad Hoc Art is proud to present "Delineations": a collection of drawings and illustrations from a diverse group of international artists.
Drawing has been and will always be a fundamental part of the art-making process. Starting as far back as the 1400's, artists such as Leonardo da Vinci, Albrecht Dürer, Michelangelo, and Raphael used drawing as not only a starting point but as a way to communicate things which could not be accomplished in any other medium. Fast forward to the 1900's as artists such as Max Beckmann, Jean Dubuffet, Arshile Gorky, M. C. Escher, André Masson, and Pablo Picasso not only continued this serious examination of drawing as fine art, but took it to incredible new places through their creativity and talent. In more recent times artists such as Marcel Dzama, R. Crumb, Dan Clowes, Joe Sacco, Yoshitomo Nara, and Julie Doucet (among many, many others) again redefined how we look at drawing as not only a means to an end but an important and impressive end in itself. Continuing with this amazing tradition, we present to you a new generation of drawers and illustrators who hope to not only add to this amazing lineage of artists but to also find ways to reinvent and reinterpret how drawing can be used to communicate and enlighten.

Series of 5 custom painted Chumbys. Each one is signed and numbered. Plus they come with a little mini drawing. These will be available at chumby.com very soon! More info on price and all that stuff coming soon.

Merry Christmas!

I made this house for my mom's christmas town. Its a balsa wood model of the house they built and just moved into.
I posted a bunch of pictures on flickr of all the food I ate over the holiday. yeah!

Fresh Produce Pictures

Fresh Produce opened last week! There are lots of pictures up on flickr here and here. It looks like there was a good turnout! I really like Ryan Bubnis's square head paintings.

They have put most of the works up for sale on-line. Maybe you'll find some last minute holiday gifts!

Recent works at Tattoo Culture

I'm proud to announce that I will be showing some recent works at Tattoo Culture on December 20th! Its a little short notice, but its going to be really great.

Drawing transfered

I've finally finished transfering the design on all of the Chumbys. Because Chumbys have a soft body, and the seams are all a little different, I couldn't use any tracing tools on them. I had to draw the design freehand on all 6. This is the most cumbersome part for me. The rest should go faster!

Next Project! Chumby!

Look what just arrived!
I little while ago, I posted pictures of a custom Chumby I had painted. (you can check out that post here) Whats a Chumby? Its like a clock radio/bean bag/rss feeder and more! Its better explained on the Chumby website, but you can do things like listen to pandora, read blogs, facebook, check email, play games, ect. Its definitely a fun gadget (christmas??) and exciting new platform. The people at Chumby designed their product to be easily mod-ed and encourage using chumby in creative ways, as seen on their forums and community pages.

Anyway, I am about to customize a series of 5 Chumbys that will be sold through the chumby website. I'm pretty excited about it, and I'll be documenting it right here on on my flickr page. Hopefully I will be able to even develop some of my own widgets! I'm shooting to finish these customs before Christmas.
